Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Sonny Bono, born in 1935. Singer turned politician, he's probably most famous for having once been married to Cher. Yesterday I finished the base for the church's ceremonial gadget. No time to put the finish on because they want it right away. They'll just hafta use it plain or cover it with an altar cover or something. The usual finish for something like that is as follows: A coat of stain, wait three days, a coat of varnish, wait one day and buff it down lightly with fine sandpaper and put on a second coat of varnish, wait three more days before putting it to full use. Since my workshop has no heat, I've gotta wait for fairly warm weather for the stain and varnish to work right. And then last night we attended a seminar on how to do your will, so we're gonna make an apptment to have our will redone. Our old will was made out when JuniorPest was itty-bitty so we chose MrsPest's cousin for our executor, and now that JuniorPest is 30 years old and has a PhD and a professional career and MrsPest's cousin is showing advance signs of possible impending weakness, we'll change the executorship. Today is gonna be another Washington Area Secular Humanist presento. The Wondrous Weather Website is predicting snow, and Nelson the Nissan isn't a very good snowmobile, so I'll probably skip it. Happy Saturday! OrneryPest |
