Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Augustin Jean Fresnel, born in 1788. He was an engineer, a mathematician, and a freelance experimenter. In particular, he experimented with light, contributed to the wave theory of light, and invented a sort of circular diffraction grating called a Fresnel Lens. Yesterday, with the help of sufficient medication, I felt good enough to haul two Nelson the Nissan loads of antiques and junque for our upcoming Grandiose May Fest Antiques And Junque Sale. Then I went over and mowed St Peters Chapel lawn. Then last night I dreamed that somebody told me that the most important room in your house is the tree yawnery, which I wholeheartedly agreed with because in dreamland that's the sorta thing that makes perfect sense. Then I woke up and wondered, now what the heck sorta room is a Tree Yawnery? And today I think I can probably medicate myself enough to get out and dig the two magnolia seedlings I wanna donate to the plants section of the Grandiose May Fest Antiques And Junque Sale. And if my energy (and medication) holds out, I've got a buncha grass (well, actually weeds) to mow. Happy Friday! OrneryPest |
