Today we express our fond appreciation for the popular singer Madonna, not because I particularly like her, you understand, but because she has caused a buncha extreme fringe religion spastics to become emotionally disturbed. Yes, folks, the Catholics are sending their grandiose voodoo-meisters after her.

Yesterday it rained an awful lot. Last night a nice wind accompanied the rain and ripped off a big bunch of a neighbor's tree and dropped it into my front yard, thus requiring a bit of subterfuge to get out my front door to get my Washington Post.

So I suppose my Quest Of The Day is gonna be to wait for breaks in the rain and chop out the portion of the tree blocking my front walkway.

And then I'll negotiate with the neighbor as to how the rest of the tree gets dealt with.
