Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Johann Heinrich Lambert, born in 1728. He invented a buncha theories about heat and light and mathematical stuff. He was also kind enough to let us use his name "lambert" for a unit of light. Yesterday church was the usual crashing bore. Father D (the more showmanshipful of our preachers) preached the sermon in 16 minutes and 4 seconds. Nothing else happened except for massive quantities of furniture identified for our son to take if he is able to get the house he wants. I suppose today's agenda oughta include scraping out the weeds from the crack between the street and my front lawn retaining wall. You'd think nothing could grow there, but it does anyhow. There's even two mulberry saplings that keep re-sprouting. Happy Monday! OrneryPest |
