Oh by the way, folks,
Today we celebrate the birthday of William Billings, born in 1746. He was a choral music composer.
Yesterday church was the usual monotony that God probably slept through. Father B preached the sermon in 12 minutes and 26 seconds.
Then in the afternoon the meeting of the Southern Maryland Secular Humanists offered an opportunity to return to reality.
Yes, folks, in response to a Diaryland Notes query, the term Southern Maryland generally refers to the extreme hillbilly part of the state, Calvert and St Marys and Charles counties, and sometimes the southernmost snickets of Prince Georges and Anne Arundel counties.
The most ultra-extreme hillbilly part is the Seventh Election District of St Marys county, the area that Al Capp accurately portrayed as Dogpatch in the Lil Abner funny strip a buncha years ago.
Well anyhow, today the Wondrous Weather Website is predicting pouring-down rain, so I've got a whole buncha indoor stuff to do.
Happy Indoor Stuff!
