Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Martin of Porres. He's the patron saint of barbers.

But actually today, for our mystic incantations, we'll do the annual All Saints And All Souls Sunday, since it's the closest Sunday to Nov 1 and 2.

This will involve lighting candles in honor of recently deceased relatives, which I have one of this year. My aunt (my father's older sister) died about a month ago at the age of 96.

And oh by the way, I hope we don't inherit anything from her, but I don't think we're going to. She was just about as far into debt as any potential creditor would let her get into, so what meager possessions she had are probably gonna be auctioned off to pay off a slight fraction of her debts.

Today appears to be cooling off a bit. Not a problem. My varnish job is, I think, sufficiently cured to tolerate cooler temps.
