Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Leo the Great. He served a hitch as Pope back along about the fifth century or thereabouts. Most of what we think we know about him is probably hogwash. Yesterday's Washington Area Secular Humanist meeting had awful thin participation because there was some confusion about the place so lotsa folks went to the wrong place. Anyhow, the presento was about how humanist organizations are trying to fight for the freedom of religion that our Constitution supposedly guarantees but our nation's leaders often fail to deliver. Today's quest, after we get done with our obligatory hour of pretending to hallucinate about a three-headed sky-zombie, will be to move the new bed upstairs and receive delivery of the new mattress. There's vast quantities of well-congealed dust bunnies in the small space between the wall and the old bed. Sherman the Shop-vac is gonna earn his keep today. Happy Sunday! OrneryPest |
