Today we celebrate the birthday of Roger Miller, born in 1936. He was a Singer of Twangy Songs. His twangy songs, however, were more fun than the usual lot.

Yesterday the New Year arrived nicely and quietly in due course. Nothing especially noteworthy appears to have happened.

Today it looks like nothing's gonna happen until evening, when Winter Storm Herkimer (or whatever they're calling him) is scheduled to arrive.
