Today we celebrate the birthdays of both Abraham Lincoln and Charles Darwin, both born in 1809. Everybody knows who they are.

Since nothing happened yesterday, here's a joke just to waste the space.

Once upon a time there were some students who were roommates in a dormitory. They had several crows as pets.

One day they decided to feed the crows some marijuana seeds. The crows ate the seeds and began going nuts, flying into things, knocking stuff over, crapping on the students' homework, whatever.

Then somebody else came over to see what the ruckus was all about, and the crows flew out the open door into the hallway. Then other students came out to see what was happening and the crows flew into their rooms and stirred up more commotion.

When the students finally got the crows back into their cages, the dorm supervisor reminded them, "People who live in mass housing shouldn't stone crows."

Well anyhow, we're battening down the hatches in preparation for another bit of snow, possibly beginning this evening. A church pot luck dinner is scheduled for the evening, and if it doesn't get canceled then we'll hafta decide if we're gonna participate.
