Today we celebrate a feast day in honor of Saint Abban. I can't find what he's the patron saint of. Maybe he's just another of those unemployed saints lolling around in Heaven sucking up on welfare.

Last night's church game night was not very well attended. A game of Yahtzee (which I've never played before and fail to see the point in) and a fumbling attempt to start a game of Monopoly with a brand new set that's different from what most folks remember from childhood. And that was pretty much it.

I had brought a coupla puzzles including the Steal Mohammed's Ring puzzle, but somehow somebody couldn't figure out how to steal Mohammed's ring so they stole the whole puzzle. Oh well, there's probably more of them floating around. It was one of my father's favorite home-made puzzles and I think he mass-produced them.

I'm gonna hafta figure out how to make one using a figurine of all of Mohammed instead of just his finger.

And so today, after we finish our obligatory hour of pretending to hallucinate our make-believe three-headed sky-zombie, the Wondrous Weather Website is promising us more snow.
