Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Franz Joseph Haydn, born in 1732. He's generally recognized as one of the world's greatest music composers. Yesterday church was the usual crashing bore. Father D preached the sermon in 9 minutes and 40 seconds. The Gospel reading was about Jesus restoring sight to the man who had been blind from birth. Now in real life, somebody blind from birth suddenly being able to see would be sorta like one of us being suddenly given a new sense we had no comprehension of. We'd have no idea what to do with it. Oh well, it's all mythical hogwash anyhow. And then it rained for the rest of the day. The Wondrous Weather Website is predicting some remote possibility that it might quit raining along about mid morning or thereabouts. Good! I'll be ready for it! Happy Monday! OrneryPest |
