Today we celebrate the birthday of Jacques Brel, born in 1929. He was a singer who's popular in crossweird puzzles.

Yesterday it rained all day. Nothing else happened.

Meanwhile up at the church parish hall, the new security system is plagued with all sorts of interesting malfunctions. The preacher, the junior warden, the county sheriff deptment, and the security company are all having just loads of fun with it.

And some poor misguided soul has been trying to talk me into having the same company put a security system into my house. Fat chance, folks!

Today it might stop raining. If it does, maybe the siding contractor will fix my house siding, unless yesterday's rain slid his schedule back a day, which I suppose it probably did.
