Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Gallus Zeiler, born in 1705. Unfortunately, the only thing I can find about him is in some strange language, possibly German. He was apparently a musician of some sort, from what little I can recall of my high-school German, in which I didn't get a very good grade. Yesterday's quest was a total success. Three magnolia seedlings dug up from amongst bunches of weeds, not nearly as badly tangled up amongst other stuff's roots as I had feared, duly plopped into pots and taken up to the plant section of our Grandiose May Fest Antiques And Junque Sale. And so today is the Grandiose May Fest Antiques And Junque Sale, and I wish them all the greatest, because I won't be there. The Southern Maryland Secular Humanist group is doing our Adopt-A-Highway thing, and I'll be doing that. Happy Adopting A Highway! OrneryPest |
