Today we celebrate the birthday of Richard Wagner, born in 1813. He was an opera composer. His music was not uniformly appreciated by music lovers of his day, and one of them even drew a cartoon portraying him as a vicious sadist sledge-hammering a musical note into somebody's ear.

Yesterday nothing happened. No visible work on the underground electric service nor the promised sidewalk, although at a few points there appeared people with surveying gadgets.

Then in the evening the pot luck dinner was 12 people including the presenter and one preacher. The presento was sorta new-agey, but sorta fun. It was supposed to be about mindfulness, but some of it sounded more like mindlessness to me.

There's lotsa controversy over the Dominion Liquid Natural Gas facility that's being built at Cove Point. Yesterday the Environmental Analysis report was published, 21,000 pages, listing 81 environmental concerns and detailing the procedures established by Dominion LNG for dealing with all of them.

Within half an hour of release, the news media were flooded with complaints as to how the report was inadequate. Now, folks, who could ever read 21,000 pages in half an hour? And if you haven't read it, how do you expect anybody to believe anything you say about it?

Well anyhow, it looks like nothing's gonna happen except for the tantrums being thrown by know-nothing NIMBY's against the Dominion LNG project.

Happy Tantrum Throwing!
