Oh by the way, folks,
Today we celebrate the birthday of Domitian, born in 51 AD. He was Roman Emperor from 81 to 96 AD.
Yesterday nothing happened. Well, maybe there had been a bit of wind the previous night and a coupla tree branches got blown down, so I chopped them up and added them to the free giveaway firewood pile. But that's such an ordinary occurrence that it doesn't count.
Then on the trip to the post office I observed the tron undergrounders a-workin' away, still up near the Lore Street intersection.
In the evening the partial eclipse of the sun was totally eclipsed by clouds, so there was nothing to see.
And so today the chiroquacker is scheduled to give my wobbly knee another magic knee-jerk, and then there'll be a quest to False Value Hardware for a new tool belt. My old one, about 1982 vintage, has just about kissed Old Rose and I hope the same model is still on the market. I always hate to see it when something is absolutely perfect in every way and then they go and try to "improve" it.
Happy Improving Stuff!
