Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Jonas Salk, born in 1914. He was the inventor of the first effective polio vaccine. Yesterday nothing happened except that the appliance repair tech came with the needed repair parts for both the dishwasher and the stove. We've got the whole kitchen back to working again. I didn't see the tron undergrounders working anywhere. And so today there'll be a chiroquacker knee-jerk in the morning and a Maryland Food Bank giveaway in the afternoon. And now for a Blast From The Past. When I was a itty bitty tyke, one of the neighbor kids was a little girl named Sandy. We somehow convinced her that Sandy was short for Sandpaper. So when she started to kindergarten, she figured that now that she's a big girl she oughta go by her big-girl name. So she went around telling all her new friends that her name was Sandpaper. Well anyhow, so much for memories. Happy Memories! OrneryPest |
