Today we wish a fond Happy Birthday to Jeff Bridges, born in 1949. He's an actor. And let's make fun of a buncha Christians, including a coupla my Facebook friends, who moan about how folks of other religions shouldn't be allowed to celebrate our Winter Solstice Holiday any way they please. They figure, hey, we stole the holiday fair and square to use it for our Christmas, and we're not gonna let you have it back! Has anybody ever experienced the Great German Beer Boot Experience? The beer glass is shaped like a boot and the bartender hands it to the customer with the toe facing away from him. So, as the more hip drinkers watch with bated breath, the newbie takes a drink with the boot toe facing upward, and just as the beer is drank down to a certain level, air enters the boot toe and the drinker is suddenly soaked with a buncha beer sloshing out. Then everybody has a good laugh. But every once in a while, there's some spoilsport who's hip to the gimmick, and he turns the glass sideways while drinking the beer. Disappointment! Beer doesn't slosh out suddenly, thus spoiling everybody's fun! Anyhow, yesterday was a great day of nothing happening, and today looks like it's gonna be just as good.
