Oh by the way, folks, My more serious diary: |
Today we celebrate the birthday of Edward Jenner, born in 1749. He invented smallpox vaccination. His further studies of how it worked eventually led to the invention of vaccination for lotsa other ailments. Yesterday it rained an awful lot. Some areas had serious flooding. Now if we could only export some of our flooding to California, maybe they could use it on their wildfires. We got the official letter in the mail from the excavation contractor who's gonna be doing the digging for the underground electric service and the new sidewalk, saying they're gonna start on May 19, and giving us the names of the people to call and complain at if they screw stuff up. Now, whether they actually start on May 19, well, we'll see. Today looks like it's gonna be a great day. Happy Saturday! OrneryPest |
