Today we celebrate the birthday of Gustave Eiffel, born in 1832. He invented the Eiffel Tower.

Yesterday church was the usual yawn-fest. I assume that whichever candles the acolytes lit musta been the correct ones because God didn't rain fire and brimstone onto the chapel. The preacher's sermon was 7 minutes and 28 seconds.

And the rest of the day was nice and pleasant and uneventful. The phone wires and intermuck wires that the tron undergrounders left dangling are still there, and our phone and intermuck service is, so far, intact.

Today nothing's gonna happen except for my chiro-quack-quack knee-jerk, and then maybe a quest to Annapolis Mall to see if the Christmas-present-mongers have any wares worthy of consideration. Perhaps the usual annual gift of new batteries for the smoke detectors.

Happy Battery Buying!
